It’s International Day for Tolerance What is tolerance? It is the prerogative of humanity. We are all full of weakness and errors; let us mutually pardon each other our follies it is the first law of nature. (Voltaire, 1764) Today (but everyday too) is a day to focus on the importance of tolerance, dialogue, and cooperation in individual lives and in society-at-large.... https://www.un.org/en/observances/tolerance-day See more

It’s World Diabetes Day. CPPN member Bob Leahy says a diabetes diagnosis can change your life almost as much, or more, as HIV. But 1 in 2 people with diabetes are undiagnosed. Are you at risk? https://www.un.org/en/observances/diabetes-day

14 novembre 2020 : C’est la Journée mondiale du diabète. Bob Leahy, membre du RCSP, affirme qu'un diagnostic de diabète peut changer votre vie presque autant, voire plus, que le VIH. It’s World Kindness Day. Many observe the day by giving food, clothes, money, books, or other needful items to those who need them most. Or just hold the door for strangers, say thank you, pay for someone else’s lunch. How about you?

Attention Community Update! ICW wanted to follow up after a number of members and partners approached us and expressed concern about an upcoming male only panel... about U=U and eMTCT during the International Pediatrics HIV Workshop later this month. We wanted to share that we drafted a letter to the organizers, Virology Education, signed on by all ICW regions and partners Global Network of People living with HIV (GNP+) Y+ Global The Well Project - HIV and women ICASO CPPN RCPS ATHENA Network expressing our disappointment in this programming. We are now in conversation with the organizers who also expressed concern and are working towards a solution. We will share what progress is made to ensure that there is gender balance and women living with HIV are meaningfully represented in the session. Thank you to the members and partners who brought this issue forward and are continuing to follow the story. This is advocacy and together we are stronger!
