The Hazaras who have become an ethno-religious minority in Afghanistan due to centuries of perpetual persecution are at this very moment once again facing an imminent attack in the city of Behsud by the Afghan regime's troops. This military operation the 2nd major one in as little as 2 months directly aimed at the Hazaras of Behsud will leave scores of innocent civilian casualties. Please raise your voice by sharing this post by demanding the Afghan regime to cease ...its military operations in Behsud immediately and to safeguard the lives of innocent civilians. Together WE CAN prevent another uighurs-like human tragedy from happening in Behsud.

We, the CHHS board of directors and members are deeply saddened to hear of the tragic murder of seven poor Hazara laborers in the Sorkhroad District of Jalalabad city on Wednesday, March 3rd, 2021. At this difficult time, we are extending our heartfelt condolences to the families of victims, wishing God grant them heaven and may their souls rest in peace. We are urging the Government of Afghanistan and international security forces serving in Afghanistan to ensure the securit...y and civil rights of the ethnic minorities. For years the Hazara community has increasingly taken the brunt of the rising violence of IS and Taliban suicide bombers across Afghanistan, attacking their mosques, schools, rallies, and hospitals. Words cannot express our anger and sorrow over the barbaric and brutal way they were killed that night, having had their hands bound behind their backs and shot to death. Our hearts are with you in this difficult time. Sincere sympathies to you and the families of these victims. CHHS Board of Directors

War is generally associated with violence, destruction, devastation, and death; the children suffer badly and the plights and scars due to the war trauma remain during their entire life. Their attachments are frequently disrupted in times of war, due to the loss of parents. Perpetrators should be prosecuted for such actions as destroying clinics, schools, and hospitals all of which are protected by international law. Here are the innocent children who exposed to situati...on of terror and horror during the terrorist attack on Dashti Barchi maternity hospital in Kabul on May 15, 2020. Canadian Hazara Humanitarian Services is excited to share this story-telling project in collaboration with some inspiring Hazara refugees and UNHCR Canada. The stories featured share the persecution and perseverance of nine Hazara refugees who are now settled in Canada. They discuss their journeys, challenges, hopes, dreams and reflections on what it means to be Hazara. Thank you to UNHCR Canada for providing a platform for Hazara voices to be heard and for your continued wor...k to support and protect refugees worldwide. Thank you JAYU for sharing your studio space for the project and Chris Young for the stunning photography. Most of all, thank you to the brave and resilient Hazara refugees who participated in sharing their stories and a special thank to our dedicated team member and External Relations Manager, Derakhshan Qurban-Ali, for organizing and coordinating the project. For over a century, the Hazara community has suffered from targeted discrimination, persecution, and massacres because of their ethnicity. Today, targeted attacks have increased exponentially since the withdrawal of NATO in 2014 and the Shi’a Hazara minority of Afghanistan are subject to daily violence by both ISIS and the Taliban. Please take a moment to read their stories, educate yourselves on the history of the Hazara people and connect with us if you would like to mobilize and help bring awareness to the ongoing persecution of the Hazara community at the hands of the Taliban, ISIS, and other extremists in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Please share widely and help share the voices of Hazara refugees! https://www.unhcr.ca//persecution-perseverance-survival-s/

#MSF #DashtiBarchi #maternityWardHospital The Dasht-e-Barchi maternity wing was one of MSF’s biggest such projects worldwide, which came under brutal attack by the Taliban on May 12th, 2020 resulted in the closure of its activity. ... Dasht-e-Barchi is well known as the Hazaras neighbourhood and is one of the poorest and deprived areas in the capital. The Hazara community among the Afghanistan population is the most vulnerable and faces numerous challenges due to poverty, systemic discrimination and insecurity. The closure of MSF's activities in Dasht-e-Barchi maternity hospital leaves thousands of mothers and children without access to essential medical care, in a country where maternal and neonatal mortality remains high and the need for specialized care is vital. David Moller, head of programs for MSF in Afghanistan in an interview with Refugee Radio Finland indicates the challenges of discriminations the Hazara people experiencing on a daily basis in Afghanistan. CHHS, as a humanitarian organization, though understands the risk of physical and emotional trauma in an unsafe region but leaving the most vulnerable - children and mothers need courage and resilience in the face of these brutal and deadly attacks. We urge MSF to resume their activities in Dasht-e-Barchi maternity hospital and ask the humanitarian organizations to support this appeal.
