Its been a soggy June but people are finding opal. Join us for a days dig.

Just to update: We will be open for opal digging day trips starting on June 12th. Given the nature of our activity, in that everyone provides their on transport and they can easily self distance on site if necessary/desired; there is no reason not to come digging this year. Opal Digging days trips at the Klinker Opal Deposit in 2020 Guidelines and Protocols... Only hunt with members of your travel group Stay 2 metres (6 feet) from other groups Do not share vehicles with individuals outside of your group Wash your hands often, especially around communal areas such as outhouse and lunch areas, etc. Follow all travel advisories and self isolation requirements Please book in advance and be sure you book required accommodation in advance (not sure what/if hotels will be available). We will allow self contained dry camping (take your garbage with you when you leave) for a flat fee of $10 per night (some vehicles and most RV restricted because of road conditions). We will allow extended hours of digging to campers for an additional fee.
