Canadian School of Osteopathy Manual Practice 10.05.2021

This seminar is appreciated every year as it allows participants to directly address the endocranial dynamics, enabling better health of physical as well as behavioral functions. Philippe Druelle D.O., has done important research on the endocranial spasms. He is the founder of this approach, is internationally recognized for his work in Osteopathy and the techniques he had developed since 1982 to increase systemic activity in the brain, lateral ventricle and 3rd ventricle dyn...amics, free circulation of fluids and energies. Philippe Druelle will introduce the various types of endocranial dysfunctions in relation to the various levels of matter and present the overall methodology to address lesions of the encephalon and spinal cord. He will show how to work with patients suffering from endocranial sequelae following traumatic, vascular or toxic impacts. This workshop is fascinating as it leads to a direct dialogue with the different parts of the nervous system in a precise, rational and efficient manner. PROGRAM Cerebral normality and the laws governing proper neuronal plasticity. Definition and description of the four different types of endocranial spasms (traumatic, emotional, transgenerational and of civilization). Palpation training to address the tissue aspect of the encephalon, the cord and the ventricular network. Perception distinction between the palpation protocols l, ll and lll for the solid, fluid and vibratory aspects of the matter. Validation by trained osteopaths. Appreciation and volumetric methods for the spinal cord, cerebral and cerebellar hemispheres, brainstem, corpus callosum and internal capsule associated with the systemic activity of the brain. Work of the lateral ventricles, 3rd ventricle and thalamus, etc. Relations to the clinical methodology and considerations to relieve target sites in the physiology. Training and validation of the participant’s ability dialogue the spasms of traumatic, vascular and toxic origin (stage 1). Good day everyone, It is with great regret that we have made the decision to postpone the 37th International Symposium on Traditional Osteopathy in Montreal. Our top priority is the health of the participants and guest professors. As events unfold and given the uncertainty of the authorities over the duration of the pandemic, we preferred to cancel this beautiful event.... We would like to thank all the osteopaths and scientists who had agreed to participate in the 2020 edition and we will be very pleased to welcome them next year with other renowned osteopaths who have accepted to come. We have, therefore, postponed this event for next year and we invite you to join us in 2021. The next symposium will take place from May 28 to June 2, 2021 We will also celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Collège d'Études Ostéopathiques de Montréal on this occasion! We created the first educational institution of osteopathy in Canada on March 11, 1981, and we trained about 1,800 osteopathic practitioners who, between Vancouver, Winnipeg, Toronto, Montreal, Quebec City, and Halifax, provide approximately 3 million osteopathic acts in Canada per year. We are proud to be part of the well-being and health of our people. We wish you and your family good health. Take care. Philippe Druelle, D.O. President of the CEO, CCO, CSO President of the 37th Symposium

Don't miss the chance to register for this workshop! February is around the corner! Jane Eliza Stark, MS, D.O.M.P. will present a course in Vancouver on February 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th, 2018 A Fluidic Approach to the Treatment of Connective Tissue... This course challenges several of the commonly held paradigms regarding the understanding and treatment of fascial tissue. In particular, it focuses on the often overlooked, yet critically important, role of loose connective tissue in the regulation of the health of the body. Using a comprehensive theoretical approach and her practical experience with dissection and clinical practice, Jane explains, demonstrates, and supervises the practice of several techniques applicable to connective tissue using a fluidic, rather than a fibrous, approach to its normalization. It will also be discovered that treating the loose connective tissue through the medium of fluid is often a pathway to access a clients emotional landscape. Jane Eliza Stark is recognized internationally as an osteopathic historiographer, author, and workshop leader on the fluidic approach to treating connective tissue and osteopathic history. To date, Jane has lectured or taught in over ten countries on the subjects of connective tissue, osteopathic research, osteopathic history, spirituality in early osteopathy and embryology. Jane holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Guelph in Biology (1980) and a Masters degree from Walden University in Clinical Research Administration (2014). She also holds diplomas from Sheridan College in Sports Injury Management (1990), the Collège DÉtudes Supérieures in Somatotheraphy (2001), and the Canadian College of Osteopathy in Osteopathy (2003). She received the honorary degree of Honoris Causa from Atman College in Sophia, France in 2008. Jane has practiced as a certified Athletic Therapist since 1991 and as an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner since 2003. She is also a registered kinesiologist. She currently serves on the faculty of the Canadian College of Osteopathy (CCO; Toronto and Winnipeg), and the Collège d'Études Ostéopathiques (Vancouver and Halifax) and on the faculty of the Japanese Traditional Osteopathic College in Kobe, Japan. She has been the director of research at the CCO since 2007. She was on the 1996 Canadian Medical Team for the Paralympic Games in Atlanta and the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur.
