Have you noticed these differences in memory and processing with writing on paper vs. writing digitally? Let us know in the comments! "A study of Japanese university students and recent graduates has revealed that writing on physical paper can lead to more brain activity when remembering the information an hour later. Researchers say that the complex, spatial and tactile information associated with writing by hand on physical paper is likely what leads to improved memory...." https://medicalxpress.com//2021-03-stronger-brain-paper-ta #writing #pentopaper #journalling #brainhealth #neuroscience #monotasking #slowingdown #selfreflection

Perspective is everything! We believe that understanding a bit of neuroscience helps us understand ourselves better. One useful fact is how adaptive our brains are. Humans are so adaptable to new challenges! Knowing this can be empowering. https://www.cbc.ca//it-s-been-a-difficult-year-but-we-re-c... #coping #PandemicLife #resilience #perspective #neuroplasticity #adaptation #change

Happy New Year!! At the risk of being unpopular, we’re not gonna spend ANY time in this post disparaging 2020 or talking about how it was a dumpster fire or saying how relieved we are that it’s finally over It’s easy at the end of the year like 2020 to say yeah that sucked! And then just move onto the next one ... But the truth is Everything has value! Our most challenging times can teach us the most, and when we dismiss those challenges, we miss out on so much that we can learn about ourselves and about the world we live in 2020 was hard in a lot of ways. It was also good in a lot of ways, that might not seem apparent right now. 2020 pulled back the curtain on a lot of things that need to be reconciled, and that we will be reconciling for a long time to come. A lot of what we all went through was necessary and constructive Cheers to 2020 and to 2021 Cheers to accepting it all and using everything life throws our way Cheers to you for making it through last year, to an awesome new year, and for continuing to be YOU . #welcome2021 #newyear #perspective

The end of this year has got people reflecting like crazy since there is so much to digest and process from 2020. Here is a great blog from author Mark Manson which distills the life lessons that 1273 people learned in 2020. A great read! https://markmanson.net/life-lessons-from-2020... #2020YEAREND #lifelessons #selfreflection
