It’s Sale day!! Heifers will be sold right after the Candiac Choice Bull Sale, bulls start at 1:00 so should be close to 3:00 for heifers. Bidding is available on DLMS for bulls and heifers. All heifers have been preg checked. If you are looking for replacements, don’t miss out on these! *If you are planning on attending, call ahead as we have limited seats!

Pen of 3 Open Replacement Heifer Sale Saturday March 27th following the Candiac Choice Bull Sale. Bull sale starts at 1p.m and the Pen of 3 will follow at approx 3p.m. This is a speciality sale where only the top heifers are coming to town from several different ranches across SE Sask . They will be grouped in Pens of 3 by the owners and sold this way. All heifers will be preg/vet checked prior to the sale as well. Here is your chance to get the quality you want to add to y...our herd, all under one roof! Sale will be on DLMS for online bidding and can be viewed Friday from 4-7. There is a few in house seats still available but must be pre-reserved and only 1 per ranch please. *Please note: The bull sale is separate from the Pen of 3, so you will be invoiced separately if you purchase from both. Lot 6 is coming in from WLC Farm They were vitamin A’d and Ivomected in January. Their age range is from April 2 to June 10. There’s no Continental in them. Hereford,Angus and Speckle Park with most of them having some Galloway in them. Vaccinated at birth with IBR nasal,coccidiosis bolus and Tasvax 8 at turnout. * All videos in comments

We are excited to announce that we will be holding our first annual Pen of 3 Open Replacement Heifer Sale in conjunction with the Candiac Choice Bull Sale on March 27th. The day will start with a great line up of bulls from proven producers and then followed by a good selection of open heifers. Both sales will be live on DLMS. If you kept some of your top heifers back- this is your chance to showcase them and have a chance at being crowned Top Pen of 3 (and all of the bragging rights that come with it ). Another good sale today! On average, prices were up a little from last week in most weight classes. Thank you to all that support local and trust in us to market your cattle, we sure appreciate you! Next sale is Feb.19 Here is a few groups that went through the ring today:

We would like to thank all of the sellers at the Pen of 3 for bringing in such quality of animals and to the buyers for coming out, bidding and making our first annual sale such a success. We would also like to thank you for your patience, with the changes in the sale order. We have taken notes and learned from our first online sale and will use this experience to make the next one even better. The Top Pen of 3 heifers was consigned by Do We Ranch and the top buyer of a Pen of 3 was Travis Rathgeber who purchased a pen consigned by Double Bar D Farms. Thank you to Travis Houff and Michael Fuchs for coming to judge our Pen of 3’s for us.

Candiac Auction Mart Pen of 3 Sale is one day away! (Friday Dec. 18 @11a.m) Cattle are coming in today to be preg checked and then viewing will be 4:30-7p.m. Sale will be live on DLMS, so you can bid from the comfort of your own home. (If you have never registered on DLMS, please do so prior to the sale). We also have buyers available that can bid on your behalf, just let us know. Pens of 3 will be sold as a group, extra heifers and bred cows will be sold on choice. **Ever...y consignor has an Album on our Facebook page under photos, you can look there to see more pictures and all of their information on their cattle.** The quality that has been booked in this year is top notch, SE is definitely representing their best for this sale. Drew will have 22 bred cows and 5 cow/calf pairs coming into the sale. He knows how to pick the right ones each spring to feed out, so make sure to have a look at this group! These are mostly 2nd and 3rd calvers, bred to a Simmental bull that was put out July 1.

Jayson & Tasha King 18 bred heifers from a closed commercial herd are coming to town. They were born April/May of 2019 and are exposed to both Red & Black Angus purebred bulls as well as a purebred Charolais bull. All have low birth weights making for easy calving. They have all been treated with Fermicon 7, Vista SQ and Ivomec the 3rd week of May. This group will begin calving early April 2021.

Pen of 3 sale Dec. 18 Cody & Tracy Martin We have reduced our herd from 75 cows to 30 in the last 3 years and are now reducing again due to loss of pasture for 2021. The best have always been kept, so nothing bad is left in this herd. These good quality cows had the bull turned out June 3 and are either bred to a DKF (Gladmar) red angus bull or a black angus bull that is an offspring to Sooline’s Motive bull. Both bulls are low B-W calving ease bulls and cows are on a full herd health program. Note that the white speckle x angus cow will calve late Jan, early Feb.

Candiac Pen of 3 Sale Dec.18 Dwight Shiels 12-15 Simmental Angus heifers bred to a 10.9 c/e black Simmental bull. This bull was used last year and only 1 out of 20 calves had to be pulled. They will calve around the end of March.

Pen of 3 Sale Dec.18 @ 11a.m Double Bar D Farms will be bringing in 40 bred heifers (from pure bred stock) and 20 bred cows (aged 3-6). They are Fleckvieh Simmental, Red and black Simmental and Sim Angus, cows are due to calve early March and bred to Swan Lake Big Red a purebred red Simmental bull. Heifers are all bred to Hamilton angus bull and will calve March/April.
