It’s always great to support local small businesses. Excellent food and service at Boun's Lao Street Eatery in Oakville, MB; one of the many small businesses that not only makes great food but also plays a big part of the many communities across Portage-Lisgar and Canada.

Last week, I met with Pembina Valley Reeves and Mayors. We had a great discussion about infrastructure as well as cell coverage and internet connectivity in the region. I look forward more meetings like this.

It’s going to be a very different Remembrance Day this year. Many ceremonies that take place across Portage-Lisgar will be much smaller. Last week I delivered some wreaths to some of the communities. I’m so impressed and grateful for the wonderful people who’ve stepped up to support our veterans and our legions.

Canada is more divided than ever and Canadians deserve a government that doesn’t pick winners and losers. Canadians deserve a government that has their backs.

Religious freedom is a pillar of democracy and the rising number of attacks on Christians is deplorable. I stand together with our leader and condemn these attacks.

Yesterday, my colleague John Nater asked an important question regarding rural high speed internet. The Liberal government has had 5 years to work with the provinces to improve internet service, yet in Portage-Lisgar, we still have slow and sometimes non-existent internet service. It’s time they take action.
