WOW it is been a minute! I can't believe the last time I posted on here was in May! Well I am back with something special as I have just posted my Best of 2020 blog post! Every year I put together some of my favourite shots from that year, in one epic blog post. This year’s post is a little shorter (I shot less obviously) but I made up for it with a long written summary of my year. Don’t worry you don’t have to read it if you don’t have the time. Just in time for the weekend, I have a new blog post! BUT WAIT, it’s not just photos telling the story of a couple’s wedding, it’s a super-informative post about HOW TO ELOPE IN BC. It may sound simple to some, but to others, they may not know where to start. I have done lots of research and also gleaned from my experience on how to make it happen, where to find more info, and what you need. Check it out!

This photo is BACK AT IT AGAIN, and won another award for best Candid/Photojournalism Photograph this year I entered the Professional BC Wedding Awards for the first time, and usually, they have a whole awards night but this year it happened a little different. The winners were announced over Zoom and were even able to say something in acceptance (which was just a tad scary ). I have long looked up to the talented vendors that often win, so to be part of this is surreal! ...I am also honoured to be a finalist in the Best Wedding Couple Photograph (M & J’s helicopter elopement) and Best Overall Wedding Photography (Kori & Ben’s Wedding) categories which you can see below as well! A little about this first picture: I find this hilarious because Ben (pictured) is not someone who gravitates towards the camera or attention. Well, what do you know, this picture of him being thrown in the air has now been recognized internationally! As always I am extremely thankful for my clients who invite me into their lives to capture these intimate and crazy moments. I love you all! I remember the days when I used to blog every single session/wedding I photographed; what a time! Now if I blog ten times a year I call it a raving success. Well, this year is obviously going to be different because I have lots of stuff to blog and finally the time to do it! I don't want to say too much about this amazing elopement because I have lots to say in the post, but as usual, if you want to see happy people in gorgeous places, then look no further :) Crystal & Alex are on the blog with their beautiful Squamish autumn elopement!

Hi friends! Usually, I come on here to say something happy and exciting, but to be honest the wedding industry (along with so many others) is really hurting right now, myself included. I have a lot to be thankful for and I don’t want to take what I have for granted but it’s hard to see your work vanish right before your eyes. A great way to support your favourite local businesses and vendors is through great reviews. If I have taken your pictures and you’ve been really happy... with your experience, I would be eternally grateful if you shared your experience through an online review. There are many places where you can leave a review, but Google and my listing on Junebug Weddings are the most impactful (they just started making reviews possible). Leaving reviews helps my SEO and helps other people find me on google. Thank you so much for your kindness, and I want you to know that my heart is with all the couples whose weddings are being impacted by all this. New website, new me! This doesn’t feel like news anymore because I have been working out the bugs for the last two weeks, but my new website is LIVE and ready for anyone getting married, anyone ready for an adventure, or anyone who just enjoys looking at photos of people in love in the great outdoors. Is there a difference between my old website other than looks? YES! My business is now going to be focused more and more on elopements! Does this mean I will still be doing reg...ular weddings? Yes. But I will be giving more info on what this all means over the coming months! My priorities with this update have been functionality and answering people’s questions (a continual process).
