I (Nicole) broke my ankle and leg a few weeks ago. Like many of my knee scooter customers, I slipped and fell on Ice. In an ironic twist of fate I have become my own customer. I’m adapting to my current mobility reality and am so thankful for access to my mobility equipment. It gives me added independence and mobility freedom while I am non-weight bearing for my injured foot. I’m learning so much about mobility and accessibility challenges through my own injury and healing experience. I’m also lucky to have my furry companion by my side, always.

There is so much truth to this image. Many of my customers have health challenges that are not physically obvious, such as Lyme disease, Arthritis, heart disease, COPD, etc. They may not be obvious, but they are real, just the same.

A customer rented a Mobility Scooter for her dad for a family outing. It was his first time using one. I have learned that it is often someone’s pride that is holding them back from using one. When I asked the customer how her dad liked the scooter, she told me her dad said I didn’t know i could enjoy myself so much at this point in his life. It’s people like him that are ‘My Why’
