I received some very sad news today. One of my client's had to make the difficult decision to help their dog, Sadie, cross the rainbow bridge this past Thursday. Sadie was a truly amazing dog. She had a very difficult start in life as she was forced-bred. She was rescued by Boxer Rescue of Ontario and taken in by my clients - who truly gave her the absolute best home possible. Sadie had many obstacles to overcome as she adjusted to a completely new way of life - one where she... had to learn that she didn't have to live in fear, that other dogs weren't automatically the enemy, and that people were capable of kindness and love. Her new family showed her all of these things. With lots of patience, compassion and effort from her new family, she was eventually able to go on leisurely walks, and even LOVED to play with her dog-cousins, Sazzy and Nikki. Sadie had as much to teach as she did to learn. I was so fortunate to meet this family and was honored to have been even a small part of Sadie's life, and am grateful for the lessons I learned from her. See more

This is a picture of a tick in a child's mouth. Here in Ontario! The dentist thought it was a poppy seed until they looked closer and saw the legs. Please, PLEA...SE do your tick checks! **** UPDATE**** FOR THOSE ASKING, THIS IS NOT A FAKE POST. THIS IS A CHILD IN TORONTO, ON. THE CHILD HAD A COUPLE OF TICKS THAT NEEDED TO BE REMOVED ON HIS BODY!

Hi everyone. The store I work at is having an amazing event where you can get your pet's Rabies Vaccine and/or Microchip for $25 each! If you don't have your pet microchipped - you should! And most vet offices charge $80+ for a microchip. The store location is Hurontario/Eglinton in Mississauga - their info is attached. You need an appointment and they are booking fast! Also - if you're interested in the Rabies Vaccine - please note that some pets are given 3 year vaccines. So check with your vet if you are due before booking so that you do not overvaccinate.
