This is a very well written article about dog parks I agree with fully. There are better ways to socialized and burn off energy.

I know I have been teasing everyone in Wawa, I don't mean to be! Before I confirm anything I want to make sure I know what you all want to see this summer. Ideally, what I would like to do is offer seminars and also classes. How classes would work is we would do a seminar in July, Thursday evening (Body and Behavior), followed by a intro/beginners class, Friday evening, (Engagement and Excitement) Saturday morning followed by a class, and a second class in the afternoon or e...vening, with additional lectures or leash work, privates ect in the middle of the day, and repeat this on Sunday. So you would have 5 hours or class time over the weekend for your pup per class. I would then return the second week in August and we could do an whats next/intermediate class (same style) and repeat this again in early September for a great dog/advanced style class. This gives people the opportunity to get their dogs in a really good spot over the summer. Body and Behavior would be mandatory to get into one of the working spots for the summer, as it is condensed, although I would recommend Engagement and Excitement as a very important part of any owners training skills. All seminars would be open to anyone and so would classes. However the classes would be a package deal, with the seminars and start to finish. I know that often times people feel discouraged "my dog can already sit" but when you bring them around a group of other dogs, with strangers suddenly the don't sit as well. A good foundation would be instrumental to getting them to be able to succeed on a condensed training weekend. What weekends would you like to see? Long weekends or not? What do you need to work on? Who is interested in Privates- we could also do these over the 3 weekends as well, to build. I'm really excited to be in Wawa more this summer and I know you're all excited to see me.
