Now the shaping of the hangers. The second pic shows a 30 degree angle cut on the back edge. This will get the hanger to angle up. I use a belt sander and a Dremel tool to shape. I also shape in a notch at the back sides of the hanger. This is where the guitar headstock will come into contact with the hanger. The headstock snugs into the notches to hold it in. (See last pic).

Pre drill the wall plates and then glue and screw the risers to the plates.

After the rough cuts are done on the table saw and chop saw, I do the rough shaping of the parts with hand tools.
