It is so much fun seeing the cave through someone else’s eyes. Christmas just came early at Cave Tours this year! If you have ever been on a cave tour with us you might know the story behind these wine tumblers... in fact, you might even be a part of the story! These beauties are made by local potter Katie from Of Cabbages and Kings pottery studio (conveniently located just downstairs from our office) and they are painstakingly hand crafted so each one of them is unique. What makes them even more unique is just what they are made from. A...fter a day of caving you can probably appreciate that there is a little bit of dirt to deal with in our cleaning process. Katie has managed to repurpose some of that leftover dirt into a glaze that she uses to colour our tumblers, meaning that not only are you a part of the artistic process when you go caving, you can take a little bit of the cave home with you too! A portion of the sales from these tumblers goes to support bat preservation initiatives so you can feel good about that too (even if you aren't the biggest fan of bats). The newest edition of our tumblers are now on sale at Cave Tours HQ in Canmore.
