Carol told me a cool story about a bird landing on her canoe while paddling on the ocean, so I had to draw it. Thanks for all the great stories Carol and Glenn and thanks for all your great charity work.
A new post about our canoe trip in Wabakimi Provincial Park is ready! Check it out! http://canoeforchange.ca/
Wild and ruggedly beautiful Wabakimi was an ultimate wilderness experience for us! Sixteen days of paddling through boreal forest of stunted Black Spruce and Jack Pines not seeing another soul except for a few black bears swimming across lakes in search of blueberry patches. Canoeing past towering cliffs, through 'burn' areas started by lightening strikes or camping at the base of waterfalls, on sandy beach coves or on Wabakimi's smooth rock shores. Diversity around every corner!
Another post is ready! Today Carol and Glenn began their adventure in Wabakimi Provincial Park! Check out some pictures and info on how they started off today! http://canoeforchange.ca/
A few awesome views and a side of turbulence while riding the plane to our drop off location! We are excited to get started in Wabakimi Provincial Park! Always exciting to check out new land and water that we have never paddled on!
Flying into Wabakimi to enjoy several weeks of wilderness canoeing! We will be paddling on lakes and rivers surrounded by boreal forest and if we are lucky, we hope to see Woodland Caribou!
