First game in @honeybadgers.cebl history. Great crowd. The mayor was there. The CEO of the league was there. The owner was there. But for me a great story was @...moorzy13. Kevin refereed tonight’s game. My point is that he was a great player for @brockbadgers back In the day and If the @cebleague existed then he would have played in the league. Today’s players have a great opportunity that Kevin and many others like him never had. And they provided a great product. The writing of Can't Miss-The Kevin Pangos Story allowed me to follow a world class athlete throughout his career at Gonzaga and analyze the factors that allowed him to flourish. Olympia Sports Camp was one of those factors as Kevin learned at a very young age that he too could pursue basketball at the highest levels. Today I am honoured to give a gift to the organizing committee of the OFSAA AAA Boys basketball championships taking place this week in Hamilton. I have been talking to school groups about Growth Mindset for two years and the sense of growth isn't just with young people finding their way but its in all of us as we make choices based not on the past but toward the future. For me personally I hope to continue to inspire others through my talk about Kevin Pangos and Can't Miss but also am excited about the next chapter as I explore the history and the people of Olympia Sports Camp.
