Love this! Camp is such a supportive and nurturing environment for our young people to learn important life skills and values. We love watching our campers and staff blossom each summer What are you glad you learned at camp?
Sunflower update! During week one of Virtual Camp, Molly led us in planting sunflower seeds. Look how big they’re getting now! If you planted some in July we’d love to see your update pictures too!
After 5 wonderful years, we are sad to share that our fantastic registrar (plus so much more) Kaitlyn has resigned to focus on her teaching career. We are so proud of Kaitlyn for securing her full time permanent classroom, and know her students are incredibly lucky!!! Thank you for your years of hard work and dedication, and for always brightening up the office with your humor. Kaitlyn will be missed dearly, but we know she won’t be a stranger We would also like to take the time to recognize and thank our dear friend Rosemary, who has donated this beautiful tent off of our wishlist in honor of Kaitlyn’s time here at Canterbury Hills Camp.
The 2020 Resource Team! Paige, Molly, Karim, & Grace This amazing group of individuals was hired way back in December, and had wildly different expectations for what their summer would look like (as all of us did!). When they first started in May, they were working virtually but still holding onto hope that we might still be able to run in some socially distanced capacity.... When the decision to move to virtual camp only was made, there were no complaints, only ideas. These awesome people pushed past the disappointment from the loss of the summer that they were expecting, and rose to the challenge of providing brand new, exciting virtual programming. They also put in the hard work of rejuvenating our commonly used buildings; making sure that they’re better than ever for re-opening! Thank you for not giving up on the magic of camp, and for putting your heart and soul into making Canterbury Hills a special place.
