Canvassing the Neighbourhood Photography

I'm often asked about what it's like living in the Battery during a snowstorm. Yesterday, at 3:30pm my husband and I went for a walk so I could take some photos. There wasn't much to see across the Harbour. I took these at the cannon at Fort Waldergrave.

This house has been in a number of tourism commercials over the years. It doesn’t get anymore classic Christmas than this merry house.

We took a walk around Brigus last week. The town was in the midst of preparing for their Brigus Christmas Stroll at the Heritage Park. The trees are covered in Christmas lights and the field is being prepared as a skating rink. We are looking forward to going back in the evening to photograph.

I'm finally getting around to processing some of our summer photos. This was a boat we saw in Brigus, late in the summer, just before the recreational food fishery closed. We couldn't pass up an opportunity to photograph a wooden boat.

There's always something to see on a walk downtown. A little snow could add to the scene but for now, we are good with the weather.
