Calling all youths 9-13 years old. If you're not shy and would like to star in a local TV series please see below! We can do this to showcase our Khmer New Year event in April. Balestra Productions, based in Ottawa is producing a kids' TV series for French Ontario Television Channel, TFO, called ‘On fête ensemble’. (translation : Let’s celebrate our culture together) I would like to know if the Cambodian Association of Ottawa would help us publicize and/or recruit a French ...speaking 9 to 13 year old youth with a cambodian background who would want to participate in our show that would showcase his/her cultural heritage. The child or youth we are looking for must speak fluently in French and be at ease in front of a camera. The concept of the show has this youth invite a friend from another cultural background than his, at a family oriented cultural event that would take place in the next few months, and share its many facets of his culture that will take place at the event. They would let our film crew follow them throughout the celebration to capture these moments. I have attached a poster and the application form (in French and in English) you may want to forward to your Cambodian families and throughout your Cambodian network. Ceci nous aiderait à recruter un jeune âgé entre 9 à 13 ans (fille ou garçon) qui accepterait de participer à notre série jeunesse 'On fête ensemble' diffusée sur TFO. L'enfant que nous recherchons pour l'émission doit bien parler en français, et être à l'aise à la caméra car notre équipe tournera avec lui ou elle, pendant toute une journée lors d'une activité, une fête, un événement, qu'il identifiera avec sa famille aux couleurs de sa culture . L'enfant invitera un ami(e), d'une autre culture que la sienne, à participer à cet événement familial pour lui faire découvrir les différents aspects de sa culture qui s'y trouveront.
