Cape Breton Exhibition 28.09.2020

Exhibitions Association of Nova Scotia PO Box 98, Middle Musquodoboit, NS B0N 1X0 The Exhibitions Association of Nova Scotia (EANS) is saddened to announce the suspension of all physical exhibitions and fairs for the 2020 season. In addition, all other activities on exhibition... and fair grounds must meet guidelines as outlined by Nova Scotia’s Medical Officer of Health. This decision was extremely difficult; however, given the nature of the Exhibitions and Fairs, EANS believes this action is essential to ensure the safety of employees, volunteers, exhibitors, and public in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic The Minister of Agriculture, Keith Cowell supports this decision. Exhibitions and fairs play an important role in Nova Scotia’s agricultural community and emphasize the benefits of purchasing and using locally grown and made products, said Agriculture Minister Keith Colwell. Government strongly supports the EANS and agrees with the suspension of all face-to-face exhibitions, fairs and community events this year in the effort to minimize the potential spread of the COVID-19 virus in our communities. This decision is in line with recommendations of Nova Scotia’s Medical Officer of Health. Minister Colwell is dedicated to continuing to work with the Exhibitions Associations of Nova Scotia to promote the agricultural industry in Nova Scotia moving forward. EANS thanks all employees, volunteers, exhibitors, and public who have supported our Exhibitions and Fairs. We look forward to being able to celebrate the rich Agricultural Heritage that is so essential to Nova Scotia when the recommendations outlined by Nova Scotia’s Medical Officer of Health permit. Yours truly, Sarah Amirault, B.A. President EANS See more
