As opposed to traditional ambulatory care services, which focus on medical or home care tasks, Cape Breton Oasis Ltd. offers services in the non-medical range.... We would like to be your helping hand when it comes to daily needs such as household or shopping assistance, transportation and/or escorting to doctor’s or other appointments, or simply providing company for conversation, readings or other social needs. Furthermore with its CBO-Home the company offers long term rentals of small cottages. Their tenants have access to the same and also an extended range of CBO Ltd.’s Personal Care Services.

CBO-Home Services CBO Ltd. provides you with small 1-bedroom cottages to live on, which are built of white cedar wood and are therefore extremely suitable for allergy sufferers. Group outdoor activities include:... Excursions, going for walks, hiking Gardening and other nature activities and more Group indoor activities include: Cooking, baking Reading Games Arts, handicrafts (e. g. quilting, woodworking) Singing, dancing, practicing or listening to music /li> and more A Common Room with kitchen-, dining-, and living areas is planned and will serve as social space. It will contain: Well stocked kitchenette Large table with chairs Comfortable seating area Books, magazines, games, CDs, wool, fabric, painting utensils, paper and other craft supplies, etc. Piano, CD-Player and more For the convenience of the residents, we will also provide assistance with tasks of daily living. CBO-Home Cape Breton Oasis Ltd. will provide besides her home care services also safe and healthy residential solutions in beautiful Middle River, on Cape Breton Island, with small white cedar wood, allergic suitable cottages for senior adults (couples, singles or widowers) who are either still fit but do not want to live alone or who require an assisted living environment, and prefer an environment that also offers companionship with other senior residents as well as the car...ing support of a family. CBO Ltd. will provide assistance with activities and tasks of daily living such as housekeeping, laundry, shopping, snow shoveling, and transportation, indoor and outdoor group activities and entertainment. All services focus on maximizing the quality and fulfillment of the lives of the residents. The concept of the CBO Ltd. cottages is designed to provide residents with as much privacy and independence as possible while having easy access to other people and social activities as well as to help and support in case of emergencies. Residents are encouraged to bring their own furniture and set up the cottages according to their own wishes. Private cars, pets and musical instruments are welcome. CBO-Home will be located on the owners’ property in Middle River, in the heart of Cape Breton and at the beginning of the Cabot Trail.
