The ECE Education Support Fund for Fall 2020 will open for bursary applications from December 9, 2020 at 7:00 a.m. to December 24, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. Applications will not be accepted before or after the submission period. This is a limited intake with priority going to students who self-identify as Indigenous, or those students completing their final requirements for certification, and/or upgrading their credential to include qualifications for Infant Toddler Educator and/or ...Special Needs Educator. All other applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Eligible students can apply for up to $500 per course, to a maximum of 8 courses, for a total of $4,000 per semester to assist with tuition and living expenses while studying. Please note that total funding is capped and not all students who apply will receive funding. Previous policy changes will remain in effect, with funding distributed to students upon proof of completion with the submission of transcripts following the end of semester, and only to domestic students. Additional bursaries will be available to students in the Winter 2021 and Summer 2021 semesters, with applications opening in the new year. Funding for the ECE Education Support Fund is made possible through the Ministry of Children and Family Development and the federal government’s investment in the Canada-British Columbia Early learning and Child Care Agreement. Students can learn more about the eligibility criteria for the ECE Education Support Fund and apply here. If you have questions or require additional information, please contact the ECEBC team at [email protected] or visit ECEBC. Sincerely, Emily Gawlick Executive Director
