UPDATE: The sign has been found! Thank you to all who have shared this post! *** On yesterday's crew only transit, October 15, 2019, one of Maple Leaf's namepla...te was lost after some heavy waves hit her bow in a southeast blow. It was lost just south of Lasquetti Island and we expect it will wash up somewhere between Hornby Island and Parksville. Maple Leaf's exact route shown in the photos below. This nameplate has been a part of Maple Leaf's history since 1986 when Maple Leaf Adventures was born. The sentimental value is great to us and to all who have been part of her history here on the coast. If found please contact Maple Leaf Adventures (250-386-7245 or [email protected]). We will pay to have it shipped back and will send you a case of Maple Leaf's very own ESB Spinnakers Brewpub beer. Please share!

Look closely to see the sailboat towing a sunken sailboat to Tulista boat ramp. I believe the sunken boat was in Tsehum harbour. Thank you Sir!

UPDATE ON STOLEN SAILBOAT................IT HAS BEEN FOUND! From the owner..... "Thank you to all who spread the word about my stolen boat. I have just spent the day with her. She was found last night in Ganges harbour, Saltspring Island, thanks to an observant yachtsman who saw my poster in Sidney and then saw the boat in Ganges and phoned the RCMP. The RCMP made two arrests, and is recommending charges of possession of stolen property, having caught them red-handed on the b...oat. She was a sight for sore eyes when I saw her this morning, but, at the same time, the sight of her made my eyes sore. She was filthy, with a spray-painted red hull, filled with empty wine bottles, cigarette butts, dirty pots and pans, and bags of clothes and groceries. These guys were confidently making themselves at home. Please take down my poster and delete any online postings about the theft because when I sail her back from Saltspring, I don't want anyone calling the police! On the other hand, if you see a horribly red boat with sweet lines, come and say hi. We may stop in Sidney for a haulout and survey and give her a makeover. Please let me know if you are feeling charitable and can help my cause, as she wasn't insured. :( Regards, Dan Moses:
