There are no large spaces or small spaces. Your large house is small to some and, your small space is large to others. As such, we always stage keeping this notion in mind. Our goal is always to maximize each space and highlight the inherent potential that each dwelling possesse. In the end, potential buyers are always 'wowed' by what they see.

You might think that staging smaller spaces involves making these appear larger. In fact, our focus is on making more modest areas appear inviting and luxurious. Potential buyers want to be comfortable first and foremost. They want to inhabit a space that is inviting and comfortable. Our objective is to show your prospective buyers that this can be achieved - no matter the square footage.

This two bedroom condo we staged has a very large living room that, for many, would seem intimidating to furnish and setup. Our job was to provide potential buyers with a simple roadmap allowing them to tame this vast space. We did so by breaking down this area into three smaller ones. This series of pics featuring one of our recent projects reminds me that well staged homes sell faster and for more money because, in part, the lovely photos they produce drive more potential home shoppers to your door. However, a word of caution. Virtual staging has a huge deflating and negative effect on potential buyers. This is based on the fact that when buyers show-up at a listing - expecting to see the beautiful layouts and arrangements that attracted them in the first... place - are instead confronted to a cold, uninspiring and empty house. This is why we do not offer virtual staging and why we do not recommend our clients rely on this counterproductive option. Our staged homes look better in person than they ever can in photos. Staging this home last week I realized, yet again, how much impact staging has. No matter how many homes we stage I'm always reminded, by the end of the day, that our work strongly influences potential buyers like no other initiative can.

We all like and appreciate having all the space needed to live comfortably and having plenty of room to grow. That said, large spaces can also be challenging when comes time to set-up vast rooms and establishing proper and productive traffic flows. This was our challenge when faced with planning for the staging of this beautiful home. Our strategy was to create 'spaces' within the rooms thus parcelling out areas and making the layouts appealing and inviting. Always keep in mind that space is great so long as it doesn't intimidate.

This empty home we recently staged in Nepean needed some help in terms of establishing how best to utilize the various spaces while maintaining good traffic flow. Our strategy was to breakdown larger areas into more manageable zones. We also used artwork to focus sightlines thus maintaining the overall cohesiveness of this bungalow.

We had the opportunity to stage this beautiful home. Our plan here was to complement the beauty of this house's ornate period touches and builtins by using a more contemporary pallet of furniture, accessories, rugs and artwork.

We staged this beautiful condo located in the ByWard Market a little while ago. Our job was to ensure that this open layout was easy for buyers to interpret and subsequently furnish. With such a beautiful view, we thought that it would also help to stage the balcony. A lovely space in the sky!

This very large home we staged in Kanata was quite lovely but, as is the case from time to time, offered some spaces that were untraditional in terms of their shapes and dimensions. Our role, in cases such as these, is to clearly convey how these spaces can be furnished and accessorized so as to take advantage of more unusual layouts. Every type of room layout can be made to be productive and pleasing to the eye. We humans are more than capable of living in spaces that are neither square or rectangular. It's all about making any space look as though it was made to accomodate our furniture and... ourselves!

Very large homes are highly sought after yet, upsized homes can be difficulty to furnish and accessorize. As such, the luxury of space can also become a burden when wanting to clearly identify areas and attempting to lend a sense of coziness to specific rooms. Our goal here was to make use of the vast spaces while concentrating focal points onto specific furnishings, exterior views and decor items. This allowed us to create very comfortable and appealing areas in, what is, a truly beautiful and beautifully crafted home. Based on this approach, viewers of the home are less likely to be intimidated by the challenge of 'space' and more inclined to be attracted by its potential.

Our challenge when staging this home was to create a sense of cohesiveness throughout. Colour always plays a key role when considering this aspect. Maintaining the flow from space to space by limiting harsh colour or tone 'barriers' goes a long way in making viewers feel comfortable in every room. Of course, furnishings and accessories also need to project a connective look through their style, colour and scale. Remember, potential buyers who feel that a house is 'harmonious' are more likely to respond favourably and offer a higher - likely full asking - offer.
