LATEST XCOUNTRY SKI CLUB REPORT JAN 13. Effective today due to the Stay at Home Emergency Order, chalet is closed until Feb 11. All Trails are closed due to inclement weather. Trails will reopen and will be maintained once we have a significant snowfall with cold temperatures. Stay safe and healthy.

LATEST XCOUNTRY SKI TRAIL REPORT JAN 7. The trails were groomed Monday.The 2, 2.5, and 5k are in good condition but deteriorating.The 10k is closed due to poor condition of all hills. Due to fluctuating temperatures and lack of snow, the trails cannot be groomed until we get a significant snow fall..For this reason the chalet will remain closed. This message will be updated once we have additional information to share.

LATEST XCOUNTRY SKI TRAIL REPORT JAN 13. Trails are in fair condition due to high temps , no new snow and freezing drizzle. The 10k trail remains closed due to poor conditions on all hills. Renting equipment is not available. The chalet opens from 11-4pm. Stay at home order is effective Thursday. We are consulting with Public Health for further clarification and will provide an update when we have more details. Please ensure social distancing at all times.

We had many fun events and we could not have done that without our team of dedicated volunteers. We thank you all for your dedication. We have the best canteen staff and appreciate all you do for our members. Thanks for the smiles ...and the great job you do supporting our club. The Capreol xcountry ski club is pleased to announce the club has acquired an AED defibrillator machine for the winter ski season. The machine is located between the washrooms . To our Day ,Season patrons and 1600 followers on Facebook we thank you for your support.Enjoy your ski outings.

The team of volunteers have been busy brushing trails in preparation for this upcoming skiing season. We ask for your cooperation in leashing your dogs when signs are out that volunteers are on the trails. We have consulted with Public Health and Cross Country Ski Ontario for their guidance on opening safely. We will be following Covid 19 protocol and social distancing practices. Stay tuned for more details as we get closer to the skiing season.

Join us this coming Saturday, February 29 for the Capreol Winter Carnival Poker ski run. Cost is 20.00 per poker hand. Registration will start at 10:00 am. Must be over age of 19 to participate. First two cards are picked at the registration table. Next two cards will be picked up at designated spots on the ski trails and your final card will be picked at the end of your ski in the chalet. No duplicate cards can be used. Participants must draw an additional card if an ...identical card is drawn Additional hands can be purchased at the end of the poker ski for an additional 20.00 In case of a tie, there will be a draw for High card to determine the winner. All decisions of the judges are FINAL Winners will be announced at the Capreol Winter Carnival finale on Sunday, March 1st at the Capreol Curling Club. If winners are not present, they will be contacted using the telephone number provided on registration form. First Prize 50% of poker hands sold (example 30 sold = 300 to winner) plus a gift certificate for a ski club membership for next season Second Prize 100.00 gift certificate from the Firehouse Bar and Grill plus a ski club LED club toque Third Prize Labatt Prize package plus four day passes for the Ski club.
