One of my favourite parts of my own wedding experience was shopping for the perfect dress with my girls. I loved feeling all of the beautiful fabrics, trying on all of the different styles, and dancing around the show room seeing how they moved. If I can give a bride one piece of advice, it would be to pick a dress that makes you feel like a million bucks. Don’t choose a dress to match your venue, or to please your mom, or because it’s what you think you should wear. Buy a dress that makes you light up instantly. Buy a dress that makes you feel beautiful and lets you be you! A 14 layer ballgown may not be what most would picture for a beach wedding, but if that is all you ever dreamed of and you want to twirl the night away then freaking go for it!
Roses do not bloom hurriedly; for beauty, like any masterpiece, takes time to blossom. Adding roses and seeded eucalyptus to this bride and groom’s naked cake helped pull the details from the invite, to their bouquets, to their intimate family dinner centre pieces.
I have always loved florals and rich greens, but have absolutely zero green thumb. So I decided one summer to work under and learn from a local wedding florist. I loved every minute learning how to process, pair, and arrange the various blooms. Since that summer, I have channeled my love into making beautiful arrangements instead of trying to grow them or keep any plant alive. If you would like to add some floral beauty to your event or your photoshoot I would be overjoyed to create something for you.
Raw elegance in its simplicity. Sometimes the details can speak for themselves with just a little touch.
Capturing all the carefully chosen bridal accessories might be one of my favourites. I truly love styling photos to showcase all the intricate details that go into personalizing a look, a space, an ensemble or an event. When reminiscing years later, I love leaving clients with these beautiful frames to look back on and help them remember the smaller moments that often get over shadowed by the day as a whole. It’s all in the details
