Happy Family Day from my family to yours today If you have ever had a session with me you will know I won't let parents getaway without getting in front of the camera for at least a couple of photos. I found I was being a bit of a hypocrite because..... well until recently we didn't have any family photos (I know!). Being pretty self-conscious I always kept telling myself.... when I was thinner I would book that session. The recent session I did for a mamma whose partner p...assed away before their son was born really impacted me and I decided enough waiting around the kids don't care what I look like... I'm their mom and that's all they care about. It was fun being on the other side of the camera for a change. A big thank you to Kea Mowat Photography for capturing these images for me. This was a very special session. This mumma sadly lost her partner before their son was born and she was heartbroken that she didn't have any images of her son and his dad together or family photos. The aim of this session was to capture some images that I could edit him into the photo together. They are not perfect as the images I had to work with were cell phone images but I know they will be cherished by this family. This was a very good reminder of why I love this work!

This session didn't go quite accordingly to plan. Just as my clients arrived a thick sea mist rolled in. We decided to go ahead and I'm pretty happy we did I think the mist adds quite an ethereal feel

Mom missed newborn photos due to Covid. We went to airforce beach (aka one of my favorite places in the world) to capture some sweet memories of baby Henry and his family

Lifestyle home sessions are not something I typically do but when Sarah made the request I said yes... and I am pretty pleased I did! More lifestyle home sessions please
