I love how fun this whole extended family is! When I left this session my cheeks hurt from laughing so much with them. If you can't tell they clearly love to laugh together which must be the secret to being married for over 50 years! We had gone back and forth on last weekend because it was really cold but with the long range forecast it didn't look like it was going to get any nicer so we said lets just do it. I'm super happy we did these fall photos when we did as Calgary is now covered in a blanket of snow and all the pretty leaves are now just sadly sitting on top of snowbanks :( The bonus to it being so chilly (and trust me it was cold) was all the snuggles that everyone was happy to hand out to each other to stay warm!!!

So much fun to see this fancy family every year for their fall photos. We semi lucked out with the weather and it wasn't absolutely freezing cold so I call that a win for this particular September in Calgary. It was nice to take a minute to be outside and enjoy the gorgeous fall colours at Fish Creek. What better way to stay warm and burn off some steam then to get all the kiddos to run around and be silly too :)

This was one of those shots where I thought I was done with the setup and then I moved a different way and all of a sudden it was the perfect angle. A happy surprise image that I wouldn't have gotten if I hadn't paused and looked back while I was grabbing something new. Gotta love that!
