Hello Everyone Nowruz, the Persian New Year, is on March 20, 2021. Penteha Ebrahimi would like to introduce the Nowruz and traditions with you YOU! ... "One of Nowruz (the New Year) traditions that have taken place in Iran since ancient times and common today, is the decoration of the table "Haft-Seen". According to our ancient traditions and beliefs, all members of the family gather at home at the Haft-Seen holiday table. "Seen" is the letter of the Persian alphabet, with which the names of seven items, placed on the table, begin. - Sabzeh (wheat or lentil sprouts that grow in a dish) is a symbol of rebirth. - Samanu (a sweet pudding made from wheat) is a symbol of physical strength. - Senjed (dried fruit of the oleaster tree) is a symbol of love. Seer (garlic) is a symbol of protection against unhappiness and adversity. - Seeb (apple) is a symbol of health and beauty. - Sekeh (coins) is a symbol of prosperity. - Serkeh (vinegar) is a symbol of wisdom and patience. In addition, the table is decorated with painted eggs for good luck and fertility, a mirror and candles, reflecting into the future and all kinds of sweets and fruits."
