I love this. My 2 littlest boys have been having a hard time and lots of tears adjusting to playschool and kindergarten. I needed this reminder. It’s normal, big breath, &...we’ve got this!
This is an eye opening visual. I can really relate to the noise and multitasking part and how it escalates so quickly for me at that point. I’m already feeling flooded and then boom it’s too late. My go-to tool is to simply visualize a stop sign, take a deep inhale and looong exhale, and walk into a different room to cool off and ground myself. What is your technique or tool? Please share ... *If you are needing support with this please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’ve got some excellent podcasts and resources and would be happy to support you. You are not alone
check it out!!
This Clean anger has direction. It is always aimed at healing, integration, repairing and rebuilding.

Free online summer group!
Allowing space for your grief (and other emotions). We are meant to feel ... all of it. Hand to heart, how am I doing? What is my emotion telling me? How can I bring space and love into that feeling? What is the message or lesson when I really lean in? You don’t have to rush your healing or let go before you’re ready. Xo
I just finished her book. Boom. So much wisdom and insight. Take a listen, follow along, and share your favorite words below if you’ve read her stuff
Today is International Father's Mental Health Day "Research shows that 10% of new dads experience paternal postpartum depression (50% when mom is depressed!) and tend to need support of their own. However, the stigma against experiencing difficulties in early parenthood is even higher for men than for women. Society views men as stoic, self-sacrificing, and above all, strong. When men feel none of those things as new fathers, they don’t want to admit it or seek help".... Watch a live video today below on 'Dad's Mental Health' https://www.facebook.com/dadsMHday/
No one talks about mom anger... There IS strength in the valley. If you feel like this please just know you are not alone.
"People are shocked to hear that my husband does night feedings and lets me sleep. They think it’s so sweet that he 'lets me' go to the coffee shop sans kids for an hour to work. And they can’t believe that he 'watches' the kids while I go for a long run to unwind at the end of the day. My husband does not *babysit* our kids. He is a parent. He’s in this thing called fatherhood. He’s not watching it play out but an active participant in raising his kids. From the piggyback rides to handling the tantrums, he’s there. Showing my kids what it means to be a father, a husband, and a man."
OLDS and area momma’s- This sounds amazing!!
This age leveled resource is really amazing. We spent our dinner time talking about this topic and what we were seeing in the news. My boys asked more questions tonight before bedtime. Hope this helps you too https://www.heysigmund.com/how-to-talk-to-children-about-r/
