This is an interesting read describing one of Carbonear’s own sea captains Captain Guy Earle . Guy’s son , Dr. Phil Earle has recently written a book about his father and his journeys called I’ll Go the Length of Myself. Phil lives here in Carbonear . After retiring as a medical doctor , he has spent much of his time researching and recording the history of Newfoundland & Labrador’s fishing history. To anyone around this area Captain Guy Earle ranks up there as a very colourful person and expert master mariner . One of our residents whose stories are now written down and will not be lost.
