On this day 102 years ago, the First World War came to an end, but had already caused an unprecedented amount of damage and took the lives of millions. Today, we continue to remember the heroic soldiers who lost their lives while fighting for ours, and we continue to remind others of their bravery by wearing a bright red poppy in their honour. To the courageous Veterans who gave everything for us, we thank you. To learn more about the origin of the poppy flower as a symbol of... Remembrance, visit our blog through the link below: http://cardiogenix.com/healthy-living/remembranceday/ We also invite you all to join us in a moment of silence today at 11 a.m. in honour of our Canadian Veterans. Hi Everyone! With the recent announcement that Quebec is under Maximum Alert, also referred to as a Red Zone, we understand that the Pandemic is beginning to feel never-ending. Although the numbers backing the government's claims may appear confusing at times, you can now rest assured that Dr. Oommen and Dr. Di Liello are here to break it down for you in their latest coronavirus update (all while maintaining a six-foot distance and separated by a plexiglass barrier, of cours...e)! With the winter season just around the corner, we will soon be spending the majority of our time indoors which is likely to lead to a boom of community spread if individuals do not take quarantining measures seriously. An increase in cases leads to an increase in hospitalizations which, in addition to the usual flu season coming up as well, can lead to a rise in deaths should hospitals once more become overwhelmed. As Dr. Di Liello put it, the second wave of COVID-19 was inevitable and although this news may be overwhelming, the best way to get through this Pandemic is to remain united in our efforts and to respect one another through our actions to keep each other safe. No one specific group of individuals should fully carry the blame for the community spread; we are all in this together. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the coronavirus, do not hesitate to contact us at [email protected], but most importantly, if you believe that you are showing symptoms or may have come in contact with someone with COVID-19, please call the info-coronavirus line at 1-877-644-4545.
