We have received several enquiries from residents of the Town and County concerning a smell that has recently become a seldom occurrence in the area surrounding the Town. Besides the occasional agriculture-related smells that drift into the area, you may have smelled what can best be described as a burnt cookie smell. Boss Feeds, located on the east side of Town, began production of livestock lick tubs earlier this year. These tubs are composed of a mixture of minerals and ...molasses; the process of heating the molasses is what produces the burnt cookie smell. Please note that there are NO toxic chemicals used in the production of the tubs. Boss Feeds is the sole Canadian company producing livestock lick tubs, and as their business grows, the Town and County will benefit from increased economic growth and employment opportunities. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the County office at (403) 653-4977. Cardston County
