It’s Monday, March 23rd. Wilderness Crew is doing what we do best: self isolating. Yesterday I received a phone call from a local doctor here on the Sunshine Co...ast. A doctor who is also a friend. A doctor who is normally full of laughter and reassurance. That wasn’t the case yesterday. There was urgency and direction in his voice. He was requesting that Wilderness Crew lend their voice to spread a vital message that no longer has a grey area. A message that is black and white: STAY HOME. Dr. Spithoff is a young man. A family man. He and others in his field are currently preparing to put their lives on the line for their community. Our behaviour needs to reflect our respect for that position.
