If you keep trying to find your dream job by looking at ads, instead of looking inside, it's harder. The more I help people to be deliciously happy in their careers, the more I believe in the power of intention to make it their own. ... Most dream jobs don't show up as job postings. Most dream jobs come from people who took the time to reflect, rest, and then test. Before you even look at another job ad, sit and ask: What are my favorite things to do? When do I do my best work? Ground in that first. Sample jobs are great to learn the words to incorporate into your story, but that’s step five. Start with your stories & reflections. Then go external. Get a journal, the cheaper the better, and keep all these thoughts together. They will come together and make perfect sense, way more sense than using someone else's list to grow your career. Use what you got, we need it. #careers #careersuccess #justsit #careeradvice #jobsearching

Love the actual work. Not the title. Not the salary. Not that you get to work from home.... Not that it is located close to your favorite shop. Not that it's what you've always done. Love the work you do in the role. Because at the end of the day, your work, the stuff you spend your day doing becomes your life. And it doesn't get easier to do. It doesn't get easier to swallow. When you choose what to do, love the work. Not a passion. But the actual work. When you read over a job ad, it’s easy to think I can do all of that. If most of the job drains you, it’s hard to build your rep or career. Now, this is the ideal. I know there is record amounts of job loss & sometimes you need to land a survival job, do what you need. But, once you have that, do the work to figure out what work you love. #careers #jobsearch #resumes #jobs #coachinglife #dreamjob #work #careercoach

Clients credit this class as the one that landed them the job. I built it as if you & I were meeting and you said, Kerri, Tell me everything you know about interviews. And I generously shared it all. In the last week, three people credited this class for showing them how to be ready for an interview. I created a Land the Job Bundle for this weekend only. When you buy this class, you also get the following classes for free to help boost your career storytelling. ... - the 7-day Career Stories Challenge ($25) - The Art of the SOAR story ($35) - Finding your Target’s Story ($49) - Loving Yourself and Your Career ($10) You can go through the screening call, first interview and second interview with the same tactics and stories. But that third, and often final round is a whole different game. If you show up at that interview using the same tactics, it could be why you're always the runner up. You need 3 things: 1. Skills 2. Fit 3. Motivation to get through all rounds. But, the mindset in the third round makes the difference. My Nail the Job Interview course trains you for every round. Get in the class, and take advantage of the bonuses this weekend. https://courses.career-stories.com/land-the-job-bundle
