Caressant Care Gives Back. As part of the 45th Anniversary celebration, our Homes are giving $200 to local community organizations. The second wave of COVID 19 has impacted many Long-Term Care Homes and Retirement Homes in the Province. In light of recent announcements from the ON government, and the increased onset of COVID-19 cases in our surrounding areas, as a Corporation we have made the difficult decision to put on hold all short and temporary absences. Effective immediately, we will be limiting all indoor visits with Residents to one (1) Essential Caregiver. Consideration for family visiting for ...residents who are at End of Life will be determined by consultation with the home. Looking for The Great Pumpkin in Listowel Nursing Home.

Residents worked hard the last 4 weeks own their entries for our exhibit fall fair in Listowel CCRH. Residents enjoyed hot apple cider and ginger cookies before taking a turn going through to look at the amazing talent of our seniors here in our retirement home.

Remember to fall back this weekend. Daylight savings comes to an end Sunday, November 1st at 2:AM. Remember to set your clocks back one hour before going to bed Saturday evening. Digital phones and computers should adjust automatically. Enjoy an extra hour of sleep or whatever you enjoy doing. Please be careful in the early days following the time change and allow your body to adjust.

COVID-19 didn't stop Residents at Caressant Care McLaughlin Road from enjoying the familiar tastes, exhibits and the joy the annual fall fair brings to us all.

Congrats to Caressant Care Listowel for the nomination... Congratulations to another Chamber Member, Caressant Care Listowel and special thanks to Lenora and Meenu for stepping away from their duties to celebrate this nomination into the Business Excellence program.... This year Caressant Care is celebrating 45 years in business, and remembering that the Listowel facility opened in August of 1986. Here is some of the nomination, "...When you choose a career in healthcare you may not fully understand what may be asked of you. I am so very honored to be part of the Caressant Care team in Listowel. During the Covid 19 pandemic we have seen our staff step up to the plate to keep our seniors healthy and safe. The staff worked tirelessly to bring quality of life to our residents who were shut off from family until it was deemed safe. We set up zoom and skype visits with family and loved ones. We were supplied with additional phones so family could have phone conversations with their loved ones. Our residents are not just your loved ones they are also part of our family and they are all brought into our lives for a reason and when their time with us comes to an end they will forever remain in our hearts. I couldn't imagine working with a better bunch of staff than we have here in Listowel. The Chamber was thrilled to have a total of 54 Businesses and Organizations being promoted during our Business Excellence program. Thanks to all that took the time to share their stories.
