writing songs, writing lyrics, writing thoughts, contemplating -- what it is to be here right now -- in this covid time, this time of change, for me a time for stillness, for more space, more rest, more quiet, == what has it offered me? what am I letting go of ?, what am I still waiting for? Will it ever come? or have I been waiting for something my whole life that will never appear? -- I think I am realizing.. this very important reality.. that I have constantly been movin...g towards "something unknown", trying to grasp, trying to reach, to attain "something".. and I am beginning to consider and realize that the very thing that I have believed to existed "outside of myself" whether represented by a person, a lover, a husband, a friend, a child, or by a deed or action or goal... all those things are never going to satisfy this unrealistic never ending goal to hold on to and catch this "something" ... It will Never come, I will Never catch it on the outside == what I am sensing.. is that once I can let go of this outer desire.. then what I will find inside myself.. will be much more sustainable and healthy for my existence on this planet.. I will find more peace, joy and patience, I will find more calm and softness in my relationships. ( my true striving) and I will trust and love myself in new ways... I suppose this sounds lofty.. and I don't mean for it to be so grandiose.. what I am trying to explore in these words is that === I am starting to see that my constant striving isn't truly the "true thing" I have been hoping it to be.. and I will never fulfill that part of myself that I thought I could by finding and holding on to something outside of myself... ok ...I think you get what I am trying to say...
