HIGH AVALANCHE RISK - INTERVIEW WITH AVALANCHE CANADA FORECASTER ILYA STORM Avalanche probabilities have risen to extreme across much of BC as rounds of snow, wind and warm air have taken hold. Today I speak with forecaster Ilya Storm from Avalanche Canada. He talks to us about what Avalanche Canada is and does, the changing conditions in the mountains and his hopes and expectations for how this series of storms might play out. He points out that if this heavy snow continues ...that in the long run a deep snow pack is good for back country usage, in other words be patient because great conditions may present themselves in the weeks ahead.
