Our first calf of 2021, welcome to the world little peanut! Calving season is slowly starting up with some comfortable, mild temperatures for this little fella.

Pan-seared sirloin steak paired with oven-roasted potatoes, carrots, beets and onion. It’s not often I make this much of an effort to plate food nicely, but tonight I let my dinner go cold for the sake of Instagram! Hart folks, don’t venture too far...we are inside the Hart mall from 11-2pm with all the goodies. A special addition this week is golden beets! Something to consider when purchasing food. By supporting local, you know where the product is grown, packed and the faces involved! Often local products can seem more expensive, however, by taking in to account the act of outsourcing labour to less expensive countries versus local companies hiring here at home, it may be easier to appreciate the difference in price (and the better taste! )

After a lot of rain and waiting, we finally started cutting and baling our hay this week! A huge weight off our shoulders, now that we know we can feed our cows this winter.

Pickling cukes are flowering! who’s excited to start canning?

New field crops are coming in! Today at PG Farmers' Market we have lettuce, radish, potatoes, rhubarb, onions and beef. Stop by before 2pm!
