Did you know you can have a midwife if you have had a cesarean section in the past? The midwives provide care to people who are wishing to have a VBAC or if they are planning a repeat surgical birth.

Do you know that when you have a midwife you can choose to have pain management options such as an epidural? The midwives put their clients first and explain the options available for pain relief during the pregnancy and revisit the discussion as needed in labour. Some midwifery clients choose unmedicated births while others choose pain relief.

The midwives are able to provide prenatal care and attend the cesarean section when it is time for the baby to be born. The midwives love to assist at cesarean sections in a surgical role or help with the baby’s first exam or be present to support their client emotionally. Call or text us today at 778-267-9397. Krista proudly shows the newborn off to the family while awaiting delayed cord clamping time before the baby was off to the warmer to be dried and then right to skin-to-skin!

Dates for labour? Really? Yes!!! Our midwives regularly recommend eating 4-6 dates per day after the 36th week of pregnancy as there is good evidence to support benefits for labour!

Did you know that you can decide which tests and procedures are right for you in your pregnancy, birth, and the days after the baby is born? The midwives take plenty of time to make sure that each client knows what tests and procedures are available, why they are offered, and what the evidence is for each option. Clients then inform the midwife of their choices and together the client and the midwives make a plan that is best for the client. ... Everyone can hi-five to that
