On October 31st 2020 at 10:58 AM, 100 Mile House RCMP were advised by family of a missing person out of 100 Mile House BC. Amanda PEREZ, a 27 year of resident of Richmond BC, was reported by her family as missing after she left the Imperial Motel On October 28th 2020 after a verbal dispute with another person at that location. 100 Mile House RCMP believe she was last seen at the Pharmasave in 100 Mile House BC on October 29th 2020. Amanda is described as 5 foot 1 inches tall,... about 110 lbs, with fair skin, brown eyes, dark brown hair with a distinctive mole just above her mouth on the right side of her face. She is not believed to be in possession of a cell phone, but she does access social media through open source computers. Please see the attached photo as a reference. Her current clothing description is not known. Her family believes that Amanda would try to go back to the Greater Vancouver area, but it is possible that she is still within the 100 Mile House RCMP boundaries. UPDATE 5:44pm October 3rd 2020 Update on RCMP led SAR operation in Valentine Lake area: On 2020-10-03 at approximately 1245 hrs, South Cariboo Search and Rescue working alongside 100 Mile House RCMP located a deceased male matching the description of the missing person. Police were able to confirm identification. The 100 Mile House RCMP are now assisting the Coroner's Office with their investigation.... It cannot be overstated the tremendous asset that South Cariboo Search and Rescue is to the greater 100 Mile House area. 100 Mile House RCMP deeply appreciates your commitment and assistance during these types of investigations. 100 Mile House RCMP acknowledges the assistance of all members of the public who provided information on the recent activities of the deceased male. The 55 year old Sardis resident had been camping for several weeks in the local area and had become fast friends with many people camping in the Valentine Lake campground.
