@saltspringkitchenco reached out to me when they were looking to transition over to @shopify, and voila, a shiny new (and responsive) site was born. The jams jiggle when you hover over them - my signature touch.

Lots of work coming down the pipe for @saltspringkitchenco - makers of the best damn jam. Had fun with this tattoo inspired merch swipe for process.

Before packaging becomes a reality, there is much sketching, cutting out, re-sizing, adjusting score lines, vectors and mock-ups. Then the wait. The painful wait for the printer while we fidget in anticipation. It never gets old. Label mock-ups for @farmandfolk.ca.

So much of the work I do goes unshared, and especially this year, but I’m hoping to change that. Work done earlier this spring for @_urbanoasisliving - a boutique shop in Victoria that sells beautiful locally crafted artisan goods. Swipe to see how I landed on this direction.

@dribbble was kind enough to ask me to pick a theme and some of my favourite designers’ work to go along with it. I chose surfing because we’re in full surf mode on the Island right now. All artists respectively tagged - check ‘em out!

The conceptual stage is my most favourite part about being a designer. Scribble, scribble, scribble until it begins to make sense. Or not. And try again.

Anyone else feeling like they’re trapped in a glass cage of emotion these days? When the world began to feel apocalyptic last Spring, my immediate reaction was to hunker down, and I haven’t felt very comfortable sharing my mindless dribble or chimp hand sketches on social media - because there are much, much bigger matters that need space right now. Truth is, this has been the busiest year of my career on top of everything and I am burnt the heck out. Am I complaining? No...t for a second. It hit me last night how it important it is to share though. I’ve been working on some AMAZING things with some AMAZING people, and shouting from the rooftop how incredible they all are isn’t a bad thing - in fact, it’s a very good thing. And we need very good things right now. Back in the saddle. xo See more

Comin’ up for air to share some fun projects I’ve been working on this summer. And today’s my first day back at the college - technology gods don’t fail me now! Here’s hoping I remember to press ‘record’. This new world is strange.
