Caring Hands By Carrie Ann 08.11.2020

Hey guys, I know you all love our tiny little husky man Romeo, so with the heaviest heart I have to share this with you. Our handsome boy will be leaving us one week from today. We've been discussing it for a while, it's a difficult decision because his mind is still so sharp, but his poor body just isn't keeping up anymore. We want him to go before any pain kicks in. It's so painful I can't breath, we're both in tears, but it's what's best. If anyone who doesn't have an app...ointment in the next week has any desire to come see him before he's gone please let me know. It can be arranged. Also, please respect the fact that this is a very difficult time for us. Husband has had him since he was 10 days old, so he was around for a full decade before I even came along. I had never had my own dog growing up, so I was actually scared of both him and Hugs. I thought they were huge and terrifying, I wasn't even a dog person. They certainly changed that! I'm sure it will be hard for Hugs, as they've been together for so long, and Ella as she's always looking out for him. Even the cats snuggle with the old man. It's going to hit our little family hard. Please keep us in your prayers and thoughts as we navigate through our last week as our full family unit, and the aftermath to follow. You're likely going to be seeing me cry over it, and I'm sorry, but that's just who I am, and I love my boy. Love you guys. See more

Caring Hands Co-vid Plan/Update Hi everyone! I just wanted to let you know that the schedule is done. Every dog is rescheduled and everyone who messaged or commented is also already in the schedule. I've sent a bunch of notifications yesterday and today, will message the rest over the weekend because I've been nursing a headache all day and my eyes and wrist need a break. Rest assured they're all in! Also, just wanted to add, please wear a mask when dropping the dogs off or... picking up, and please don't come inside the house. When you pull up myself or Kyra will wave for you to bring the dog over to the steps. Also, I CANNOT stress enough how IMPERATIVE it is that dogs are dropped off and picked up on time. If you're late picking up, I'll have to have my assistant wait with your dog either on the back step or in the back porch so that I may let my next dog in. I will be charging $10 late fees because not having my assistant there in the room with me means I can't actually start working. That could affect and complicate my entire day. Regarding ticks, I will be adding a $10 tick removal for performing this service on your dog(this is not new, but is now being enforced.) If your dog is not in for a groom but you need ticks removed, please let me know and I'll schedule it the same as a nail trim(whichever day/time works best that day/week.) Another reminder that groom prices did change earlier this year before shutting down. Prices are now: $50 for small, $60 for medium, $70 for large dogs with minimal grooming or large deshedding, $80 for extra large dogs with any groom, large dogs with full groom, and any large doodle breeds. Nail trims will always remain $10, anal gland check/simple liquid removal will always be $10 (though I recommend bringing them to the vet for a thorough removal if there's any real blockage.) Touch ups will also remain $20 for most breeds, but will be $30 for Extra Large breeds. If you're unsure which place your dog falls for the groom, just add $10 to whatever you normally pay, unless you have a L/XL Pooch that gets most of their bodies groomed, then you add $20.) At this time etransfer is preferred, but I will accept cash as long as it's in a bag or envelope. I hope you all understand the precautions that I need to put in place to keep myself and my loved ones safe. Most places opening up are NOT opening up in their home. I don't wanna worry myself to death about it all, so I just ask that you please respect my wishes. If anyone is upset about the pricing, I am sorry, but this was already established before the isolation started, and it has to be done. I put it off two years longer than I wanted because I didn't want to upset clients. Unfortunately it's no longer enough. Thank you for being so amazing. Thank you for trusting me with your babies. Sorry for the long post. Give all my babies kisses! I have a LOT of people to message and call tomorrow! Carrie Ann

Hello everybody! Did you hear the great news? Services for our babies will be considered essential starting next week! Yay! I just want to clarify that it will probably be the following week that I reopen. Since my business is in my home, there are a few kinks I'll have to work out to ensure that my home remains safe during this time. As previously stated, I am high risk. I need to play it safe right? I'll be starting by rescheduling all appointments missed from the last 2 m...onths, and I'll also reply to those who have messaged to set up appointments. If you could please let me know any dates or times in the coming months that DON'T work for you it will be a lot easier! Kyra and I will take the next week together to situate the schedule so expect some calls and messages by the end of next week with appointments! Woo hoo! We cannot WAIT to see our babies again! Not to mention Ella is going to lose her ever-loving mind to have her friends all back! I hope you're all safe and snug in the meantime. I'll be touch very soon. See more

Hey guys! I was going to make a similar post to help you guys out, but my friend and former co-worker Nikki has summed up anything I could have said perfectly! I truly WISH I could let the doggos come in for a groom. I miss them. I love them. I worry for them. Please take the time to read the whole post! Once I have more information I will give another update, but as of right now, we simply cannot do it unfortunately. When I start sitting down with my schedule again, you'll ...know. I'll be starting with all missed appointments in order, then I'll go through those who have messaged. It's all pretty overwhelming, so I will not be answering messages until I know more. Give my Caring Hands babies kisses and treats from me! And PLEASE remember, if you hear of someone grooming right now for pay, they are breaking the law. Just because one person is posting about grooming right now, that doesn't mean that they should be, or that anyone else should be. I'll drop a link below for a metal comb, but feel free to look around Amazon. Be strong and be safe! https://www.amazon.ca//B08/ref=cm_sw_r_apa_i_Ua0OEb395YS5C

Hi guys. I just wanted to make another quick post, because I'm getting a lot of questions. I will be remaining closed until further notice. ALL grooming salons are unfortunately closed, and the veterinarians are not taking grooms or nail trims to the best of my knowledge. Unfortunately, for right now, I'm gonna need you guys to do your best to brush those doggies and attempt to trim their nails if it gets too bad. I wish I could take them all back in, it's physically hurting ...me that can't. First of all, legally, I need to remain closed until the lock down is over. Second of all, I'm high risk and have no idea who came in contact with who over the last 6 months, so I can't risk my health or my life. I sincerely hope you all understand. Also, I'm making this post because unfortunately I simply don't have the mental capacity to message people individually. It's a rough time for everybody, but for those who suffer from Depression and Anxiety this is pretty much hell, so please respect and support one another right now okay? Be kind. Be safe. Give them babies a kiss for me. See more

Hey everybody. I'm really sorry to have to say this, but the time has come for me to shut down for two weeks due to my high risk factor regarding Co-Vid19. It's all very stressful/concerning enough as it is, but with the confirmed Fort Frances case and how quickly it's adding up in Ontario, I simply cannot take any chances. I am not taking it well, I'm gonna be real with you guys. I don't care about toilet paper, I'll use a dang newspaper if it comes to it, but I do care abo...ut not putting myself in any position where I'm risking my mental health, my physical health, and even my life. I sincerely hope you all understand and will still be here with me when I'm back. I'll start messaging individual people tomorrow, and I'll set an automated message response in my messages so that anyone who may not have seen this post will see my message and know what's going on. I'll post another update at the end of the two weeks and reassess at that time what will be the best decision going forward for me and my family. Thank you all for being so amazing and beautiful souls when I need some time. The last year since Dan (my father-in-law) passed has been very tough for us. We both shut down pretty deep, and it caused me to have a very hard time communicating with people. Some in my life have understood and helped me so much through that, others have disappeared completely or not fully understood(family, friends, and clients.) So it's very important to me right now, with everything going on in this world, that I take a moment to tell you how very much I appreciate every single one of you. Give the babies kisses for me, and if anyone wants to drop pictures of their furry Caring Hands family members below to make me smile I would LOVE that! I genuinely do love those babies so much. All of them. There is no such thing as a bad dog in this house. I'm sorry! I'm emotional and ranting! Just. I love you guys. Please stay safe and informed and make good choices and be kind to yourselves, each others, and especially retail and Healthcare workers right now. They are potentially risking a lot to keep you comfortable and taken care of right now. Don't be selfish. I know you won't. You're all amazing. God bless you all. Feel free to check in or come chat with me in messenger about any questions or fears you have about Co-Vid19. Informing people with the right information really helps. I'm gonna stop now. If you read all of that your are my hero. Please don't hate me... https://www.washingtonpost.com//2/world/corona-simulator/
