Please Read Before Inquiring About OOSC for September 2021! We want to ensure all our current families who will be entering Kindergarten find out their placements and give our current OOSC families a chance to re-register for September 2021. Please email us with the information in the post, you will get a generic message back but you will be added to the OOSC Waitlist folder. Once our spaces our finalized with current families we will contact anyone on our waitlist - this is... usually end of March/beginning of April. If we can not guarantee a spot this Spring, we sometimes will have spaces open up in Summer and/or beginning of September. Thanks!

I’m very proud to share that we are taking action to improve access to the city’s recreation facilities and programs for over 5000 Port Coquitlam residents whos...e income falls below the Low Income Cut Off as calculated by Statistics Canada. The program approved by Council will allow those who qualify access to up to $200/year to apply to recreation activities for an up to 75% discount on programs, admissions and passes offered by the city. For families that qualify, the amount is per individual (e.g. 2 children would be $200 per child). This support is in addition to subsidies provided for non-profit residential care and rehabilitation organizations and non-profit community agencies supporting those with special needs, seniors, youth. I’m proud of the value we are placing on ensuring that in Port Coquitlam poverty/income/cost does not prohibit our residents from fully participating in our community’s programs and having access to our city amenities. I’ve already heard from many residents about how this support will make a real difference in their lives, particularly for children and seniors. We hope you are all enjoying your Saturday mornings! This morning all our teachers spent their morning in a two part workshop called, Word Choice Matters: Growth Mindset in the Early Years

Bats, Spiders and Skunks, Oh My!! These are just some of the amazing animals that come out at night to hunt and play. This month our Aire Preschool classes have been learning about Nocturnal Animals. Our new science table is ready for the children to explore.

We’ve been enjoying these sunny fall days but the rain will be coming! Outdoor play happens rain or shine and ensuring your child(ren) have proper rain gear will allow them to enjoy the rainy weather as much or more so than the sunny weather.

Our deck at Aire was in serious need of repair and Mike did an amazing job rebuilding it. Our preschool classes have been enjoying snack, and circle time out here over the last couple weeks and it's becoming a nice extension of our classroom.
