Rememberance day Thank you to my father for sharing this first. Here’s a photo of my grandma and grandpa MacQueen. They met in Gaspé Quebec. My grandfather was posted there during WW2. He was initially part of Canada's Boom Defenses. Gaspe was seen as a refuge of last resort for the British Royal Navy, should the Germans invade England. The second photo is of my grandma 10 years ago. She left school, age 16, to join the war effort. She worked at Northern Electric, a munitio...ns factory that specialized in artillery shells and bombs. It was located in Montreal, Quebec. The third photo is her this year. Love you and appreciate you.
