Reminder that Buddy Day is coming up later this week! At this event, first-years will be partnered up with upper-year Industrial Design students in small groups to chat about the program, Carleton or student life in general. This is a great, informal networking opportunity where you (a first-year) will be able to make connections with students that will last throughout your journey at Carleton. Your buddy will become your mentor and will be there to provide support and guidan...ce throughout the year. This event will be hosted online with two sessions for you to choose from: one will be held on Thursday, August 27 and the second on Saturday, August 29 (both starting at noon). Good afternoon everyone, it is with a heavy heart that we make this announcement, letting everyone know that all remaining CIDSA events for the Winter 2020 term have been cancelled for the safety of the community and our students. We want to thank everyone that was involved in making this year a unique one for CIDSA, ranging from our workshops, social events, and our Concept Carleton conference. We encourage everyone to take care and take precautions in keeping yourselves and everyone around you safe, and please don't hesitate to message us if you have any questions regarding CIDSA. At the next Car Sketching Workshop, WonJoon will be taking a different approach and doing a marker rendering demo using a sketch as a guide. This is your chance to come out and learn how to bring your drawings to life using colours and shading techniques from a seasoned professional! (This applies to all sketching, not just cars!) For the next workshop, you won't be needing any supplies (unless you wish to follow along). Just bring yourselves and be ready to learn!
