One of our members, Pareena, participated as a panelist in a townhall for the Ottawa-West Nepean Riding a on September 9 regarding how COVID has affected post-secondary students in regards to university and their housing experiences and other youth and student issues. Thank you Pareena and thank you to the organizers for making this panel happen!

Hi all! As we are currently adjusting a month since the start of the fall semester, we would like to invite progressive youth and students who are attending Carleton University this year to join the CU New Democrats for the 2020-2021 year. Register to become a current member through here: https://forms.gle/vHZev6aBmqo1TA5aA... You do not have to be a paid member of the NDP, although if you're interested in joining the NDP to volunteer or vote in delegations, we will be happy to help you through the process! Once we've confirmed your membership, we'll invite you to our brand new spanking Discord server, where you could meet new people and socialize. Many of our events will also be held there. :) Have a great rest of the week, and if you have any questions, please message us!

We are mourning the passing of our previous co-chair, Abel Mengistab. He was an amazing, compassionate friend and leader of our community. His leadership and passion for social justice inspired us and brought many of us into the club, the NDP, and the broader movement for social justice. Rest in power, our friend.
