Merry Christmas to all! This year’s Christmas parade looked a wee bit different, but that didn’t quell the enthusiasm in Carleton! Over 300 cars full of smiling families and friends drove past our float last week! #proudjfer

Flashback Friday Back in 2015, Carleton planned and hosted Sing Swing! Following the event several members headed to the Ontario Young Farmers Forum. The Ontario Young Farmers’ Forum (OYFF) is a two day forum that is typically held in mid-late November in conjunction with the Ontario Federation of Agriculture (OFA) annual convention. Delegates have the opportunity to learn, connect and discuss the most pressing agricultural issues that are faced on a daily basis. This ev...ent is open to all those 18-40, who are interested in or involved in agriculture, not only JFAO members. This year OYFF is being held virtually, with two workshops remaining. Check out https://www.jfao.on.ca/oyff to learn more! #proudjfer

Flashback Friday Carleton had a great turnout to Sing Swing in Prince Edward county in 2014! Sing Swing is a provincial event held annually in November consisting of several activities. There are several homemaking events (baking, quilting, photography, etc.), along with a euchre tournament and spelling bee. Dancing events include square dancing, two-stepping, waltz, jive and alternative dance. There is also exciting public speaking, singing and musical instrument competi...tions throughout the event. Often there are mystery events too! Following the day’s event there is a banquet, awards ceremony and showcase of the top performers. The evening ends with a dance and social time. #proudjfer
