Despite the fact that politics are a touchy subject, Carlson’s on Macleod has and will continue to host (free of charge) Provincial and Federal political parties and/or political movements a forum to connect with the electorate. We do this regardless of political affiliation in an effort to help people make informed political decisions. Here we go again . . . Due to COVID-19 concerns and strict Provincial guidelines, Carlson’s on Macleod is postponing the June 12th Mike Clark Band concert. Hopefully, we will have Mike and his band back at Carlson’s sometime in the fall. Once again, live music takes another hit.

Cpl. Blair Schneider (RCMP, High River Detachment) recorded this tribute to honour all victims of the mass shooting that took place in Nova Scotia. The shooting rampage left 22 victims dead including RCMP Constable Heidi Stevenson, a 23-year veteran of the RCMP and mother of two. The massacre began in the tiny community of Portapique, N.S. on April 18, and ended about 13 hours later on April 19.
