Super Simple Strawberry Hack . Do you waste half the strawberry cutting the top off? . Here is a super simple hack!... . All you need is a straw. I used a metal one but a plastic one will work to. . Push the straw through the bottom of the strawberry and pop the core out. The leaves will mostly come too. . ’ & ITY ’ ! . The exact words that came out of my tween daughter’s mouth when I became the food police and started implementing some of the nutrition shifts in our home five years ago. . I went full bore, all out making those changes and the only one that felt good about it was me.... . Here is the thing, I wanted to make the change but my family was not ready to make that change with me to the level I thought they should even if they supported me. . I’ve learned so much from that. I had to gradually ease them into the new way of eating. I learned ways to incorporate healthier versions of our favourite meals and introduce some delicious new ones like popcorn rice (its really just brown basmati rice with a little bit of butter). Sometimes I’m even able to hide the healthy stuff without them knowing. I try to have to fridge stocked with cut up veggies so they are easy to grab. The kids often sit in front of the tv and much on them. . , not everything was a success and not everything is on the healthy side. Seriously if I took Nutella away I’d have a major mutiny on my hands! But all the little changes have added up so that’s a win in my book. . #makinitwork #healthybalancedlife See more

...Because we all know what you see on social media isn’t always what you get. . Over our Covid quarantine the struggle was Y real. It seems like it was so easy to just go into my head. There was just so much change and zero routine. Workouts barely happened and when they did they weren’t all that great. As for nutrition...ugh it wasn’t anything close to how I usually eat. #allthejunkfood . . So as a result of how I handled the pandemic......Queue weight gain. Almost 10 lbs! I’m sure some of you may be feeling the same and I’m not all by my lonesome over here. But here is what I know ...after 5 years of living a healthy lifestyle I have the tools come back from this pandemic slump. . So I’m going to get my mindset right with the ladies in my 5 day Free group. While that’s going on I’ll be planning my next online fitness challenge where I know all my girls will help me keep accountable. See more
