Carnegie Branch Library is back! We're thrilled to announce that VPL services have resumed at a takeout table located in the Theatre/Respite Centre. Our hours are Tuesday - Saturday, 12-4. We have DVDs/Books/Magazines available to borrow, you can return your checked out materials, pick up your holds, say hi! All with appropriate safety measures in place. If you can't find your card, or misplaced some library items during shutdown, don't worry - just drop in to see us and we'll sort things out.

Big news: We are exited to be expanding our services starting today to include drop-in space and increased public washroom access! Drop-in spaces is accessible for 45 minutes every hour, and space is limited. While the community centre will look and feel very different than prior to COVID-19, we are looking forward to seeing you again and welcoming you back into the centre. Check out the attached images or speak with a staff person on site for more information!

Celebrating Asian Heritage Month through food part 2! Black bean sauce noodles with a locally made fortune cookie for dessert. Fun fact: the fortune cookie is not traditionally Chinese. It was actually invented in San Fransisco and has become a cultural symbol of migration, resistance and innovation for Chinese-Canadians/Chinese-Americans through the establishment of Chinese restaurants across the continent.
Celebrating Asian Heritage Month this week through food! Tonight's meal, a colourful Japanese soba with some information about the Japanese Canadian community and some beautiful paper cranes, each folded by hand by the team at Carnegie.
